Description

Finally I was able to get a living specimen infront of my camera. With a bodylenght of over 7cm (more than 2,5inches), this is Europe's biggest wild living bug. In german other names are Hirschkäfer, Hornschröter or Feuerschröter. Donnergugi comes from the old name of Donar, which is actually Thor in the old gremanic mythology.
I found that name quite fitting.
